Geen van de twee Belgische duo's heeft zich in het Spaanse Almeria kunnen plaatsen voor de hoofdtabel in het dubbelspel.

Cedric Nuytinck en Ludovic Bierny waren vrijgesteld voor de eerste kwalificatieronde, maar in de tweede botsten ze op een Japans duo. In een spannende strijd, waarin elke set met het kleinste verschil werd beslecht, verloren Nuytinck en Jean van Asuka Machi en Maharu Yoshimura in drie sets.

Het duo Ludovic Bierny en Robin Devos moesten wel aan de bak komen in de eerste kwalificatieronde. Daarin versloegen ze het Schotse duo Niall Cameron en Gavin Rumgay, ooit nog actief bij Immo Mortsel. Het Russische duo Alexey Liventsov / Mikhail Paykov belemmerde echter de weg naar de hoofdtabel.
